We are proud to share that Blackshear Elementary has earned an A in the Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) 2025 A–F Accountability Ratings. This achievement is a direct result of the dedication of our students, the expertise of our staff, and the strong support from our families. Congratulations to our entire school community! Closed out an AMAZING first week at Blackshear with community circles and some Friday dancing! Special thank you to our PTO volunteers for helping with PreK and Kinder lunches and our awesome Bus Buddies for joining us for the first week fun! #DivingintoLearning
Klein ISD earned an A rating in the College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) component of the Texas Education Agency’s 2025 A–F Accountability Ratings and maintained a B overall, rising from an 80 in 2023 to an 86 in 2025.
Since the TEA raised performance standards in 2023, the district has seen a 30% increase in A-rated schools, a 13% increase in B-rated schools, and a 55% decrease in C-rated schools, with no schools rated D or F. All five high schools and all ten intermediate schools earned an A or B, and students across Klein ISD earned 127 academic distinctions, a 37% increase since 2023.

Bus Buddies is a partnership between volunteers and Klein ISD to provide assistance to elementary students to help them get off of the bus at the correct location. This program requires one "Bus Buddy" per elementary bus the first three days of school (August 13 - 15, 2025). This approximate time commitment is from 3:00 - 5:00 PM.
Volunteers for Bus Buddies must be 18 years or older.
